The award of a "Lifetime ACBOGCC Membership Award" was established in 2014.
ACBOGCC Lifetime Membership Award: Leah Noble, for her service as a president and faithful support of ACBOGCC, she was honored with a lifetime membership in ACBOGCC.
Congratulations to the $2000 George Coorey Scholarship Award Winner. There were two this year.
Jenny Hamm is a graduate of Sycamore High School with a GPA of 3.956. Jenny will be attending the University of Cincinnati and will major in dietetics.
Jonathan Thomas is a graduate of Fairfield High School with a GPA of 3.643. Jonathan will be attending Wright State University and will major in psychology.
Each year, ACBOGCC may underwrite the cost of $500 each to send two visually impaired children to summer camp at Camp Campbell Guard. Usually, the children attend the Awards and Scholarship meeting as guests, but due to extenuating circumstances, they were not able to attend the awards banquet this year. The two children were:
Jeffery Howard from the third grade
David Moreland from the six grade
It was reported that they had a great time at camp. The boys enjoyed swimming, horse back riding and banana boating.

Sue Wesley Award: Clare Oestreicher
On Thursday, August 15, ACBOGCC President Terry Olandese presented Clare Oestreicher the Sue Wesley Award at a dinner at The Farm with ten or so ACBOGCC members present.
President Olandese also presented the Ken Marrs Award to The Farm with Dan Elsaesser receiving it for The Farm.
At the same dinner, The group was also celebrating Clare Oestreicher's sixtieth birthday with her.
The $2,000 George Coorey Scholarship: Brooke Banner
rooke is a graduate of Sycamore High School with a 3.5 GPA. She is going to Brigham Young University in Provo Utah and she is strongly considering majoring in Communication Disorders and master degree in Speech language pathology.

In honor of a very special sighted member of ACBOGCC, Sue Wesley, the Margaret Yancy Award was renamed to the Sue Wesley Award.
Sue did not know about the renaming until she was presented with the award at the awards ceremony.

In honor of the very notable member and one of the founders of ACBOGCC, George Correy, the college scholarship was named for him.
Congratulations to the $2000 George Coorey Scholarship Award Winner: Curtis Smith. He plans to study English at NKU and become a high school English teacher at Bishop Brossart High School, the school from where he graduated.
